This smoothie is a favorite from the Whole Living Action Plan for a reason. It is packed with greens and nutrients to give you an energized start to your day and leave you feeling like you’ve had a great breakfast. This serving is for two so save some for later or share with a partner, friend, or coworker.
- 1 c kale (or collard greens) stems removed, coarsely chopped
- 1 Granny Smith apple, seeds removed, coarsely chopped
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 c fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
- 2 1/4 c of water
Combine all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth. If smoothie still seems a bit chunky, add in more water little by little until it is smooth. Then serve!
